Ministry of Education and Sports of Argentina and IMS sign an agreement to help develop digital proficiency for the youth

In November 2016, the headquarters of IMS in Argentina welcomed President Mauricio Macri for the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Education to improve the digital platform training program in vocational and professional schools throughout the country.

Minister of Education, Esteban Bullrich, Buenos Aires’ mayor, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, join the President in the event.

The Ministry of Education and Sports, through the National Institute of Technological Education [INET], and IMS Internet Media Services (IMS) – leading company in digital marketing and communications – signed an agreement to offer common interest activities in the education and training of human resources in Communications and Information Technologies (CITs).

The terms of the agreement are an answer to the demand for talents in this industry according to the “Capacidades 2020” report. INET and IMS will offer free access to the Certification in Mobile Platforms for Native Advertising Program “IMS Education”.

IMS aims, with this initiative, to train students from public vocational and professional training institutions in Argentina in digital marketing and mobile platforms, to offer teachers technological updates and present them with the new trends for education, as well as to offer content and educational resources for students and teachers. These and other initiatives are based on the same goal of offering digital knowledge and developing the fundamental abilities for working in today’s globalized world.

The goal is to develop similar initiatives in association with governments throughout Latin America in 2017.
