IMS Internet Media Services and Vevo Announce Partnership

IMS, a leading communications and digital marketing enterprise and partner of fastest-growing companies seeking greater presence in Latin America, will be the representative of Vevo for issues related to advertising in the region.

Vevo is the leading platform in the world for premium music and entertainment videos, recording more than 11 billion views per month worldwide. Vevo joined IMS to expand its advertising opportunities in Latin America and share with advertisers and agencies how to establish better connections with Spanish-speaking consumers in Latin America, in countries such as Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, among others.

“Music videos play an important role in the digital world in Latin America and Vevo is an undisputed leader in this category”, said Gastón Taratuta, CEO and Founder of IMS. “As the world’s #1 music website, Vevo is uniquely positioned to reach the public in Latin America and attract it in an innovative way, both locally and globally”.

A study carried by IMS with comScore, “IMS Mobile in LatAm”, on mobile applications in Latin America, showed  that two thirds of users in the region already know Vevo and more than half of mobile users of Vivo consider it relevant in their day to day. Similarly, the IAB study “Mobile Video 2015, A Global Perspective” shows that music videos are the preferred type of video content on mobile devices in Latin America.

The Latin-American consumer is increasingly connected and tech-savvy, offering an excellent opportunity for digital advertising. Sales forecasts for digital advertising show that Latin America will reach double-digit growth over the next five years.

“Vevo’s audience in Latin America and Mexico continues to grow surprisingly each year, especially in Mexico, which is currently Vevo’s second market in terms of video playing, what is very rewarding for us”, said Nic Jones, International Executive Vice-President, Vevo. “Out of Vevo’s 11 billion monthly views in June, 1.4 billion were in Mexico. There is a huge potential for Vevo in Mexico and other Latin American countries. So,  we are very pleased with the collaboration with IMS for an improved communication with advertisers throughout Latin America and locally”.

Latin Americans Advertisers will have the unique opportunity to access Vevo’s visitors through contextual, music genre and artist targeting, among other variables. In addition,  Vevo Originals, which tracks the careers of new artists, provides opportunity for brand integration locally.

The partnership between IMS and Vevo contributes to IMS initiatives in progress to provide new opportunities for the advertising market, allowing new strategies so the brands can reach their audiences. IMS and Vevo are poised to work in Latin America to bring valuable messages to their digital consumers.
