2005

Gastón Taratuta founds IMS. One office, 3 employees and a clear goal: providing flexible, deep, result-oriented solutions.

2008

IMS creates its own AdNetwork and enters the Brazilian market.

2010

Offices are opened in Mexico City and Santiago de Chile. At the same time, IMS commits to educate the market by co-hosting the LatAm Media Festival and creating the IMS Executive Program at Stanford University, its executive education program that gathers regional industry leaders.

2011

IMS starts building links with Silicon Valley by becoming Netflix’s digital agency for LatAm.

2012

IMS launches Twitter’s advertising products suite in Latin America. As exclusive business partner in the region, IMS has dedicated sales teams in 15 countries and educates the market through events, clinics and success cases.

2013

With the addition of new key business partners, such as Waze and Spotify, IMS reinforces its position. It also partners with the sports network beIN SPORTS and takes on the responsibilities of managing and selling the advertising suite available for the channels beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS in Spanish and beIN SPORTS Play.

The Company has over 200 employees, and grows its presence in the media.

IMS starts representing two new vehicles: Foursquare and LinkedIn. Thus, IMS value proposal becomes stronger, with an unbeatable portfolio of solutions for agencies and brands to engage with their audiences.

In this same year, two creative agencies are added to the IMS Group: Social Snack, in Buenos Aires, and Garage, in São Paulo. Both teams offer advertisers the possibility of generating ad hoc content to lead solid campaigns developed on the platforms.

Three additional business representations are added, and IMS’s position is consolidated as one of the most influential digital market players in the region: Vevo – the world’s largest video platform, Crackle – the most important on-demand video platform with ads in Latin America, owned by Sony Pictures Television, and iAD – Apple’s advertising platform.

Additionally, EA-Publisher, the top publisher of video games in the world, joins our platform.

IMS grows in the Gaming Advertising market with the incorporation of Twitch, the largest streaming platform for and by the gamer community.

This year also sees the partnership between IMS and Yahoo!, one of the founders of Internet, come to life to market Yahoo!’s advertising products, native formats and audience and programmatic inventory acquisition solutions.

IMS reaches agreement to acquire majority stake in Httpool, one of the largest digital marketing and ad sales companies in the industry.  This new partnership will broaden its operation supporting more than 6000 agencies and 5000 brands worldwide, and exclusively representing Twitter, LinkedIn and Spotify, across 30 countries in Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Asia Pacific regions.

IMS integrates Warner Music Group’s commercial representation, the most prominent and successful family of labels in the history of music. This new partnership enhances IMS digital video offering for advertisers.

Gastón Taratuta

CEO, Founder

As founder and CEO of IMS, Gastón Taratuta offers his expertise in media, marketing and digital technology for the creation of solutions for global clients that want to develop their businesses throughout Latin America. Renowned expert in the digital marketing world, he was the President of International Operations for Universo Online in Miami, the largest ISP and web content company in Brazil. On Feb. 5, 2005, he founded IMS Internet Media Services (IMS), the largest digital marketing and media company today.

Gastón earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Fundación Altos Estudios en Buenos Aires, and a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida International University. He is based in IMS Miami.

Ignacio Vidaguren

Partner and COO

As COO, Ignacio is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and development of new income opportunities for the Company. Ignacio joined IMS after having worked for eleven years at MercadoLibre, the only Latin America publicly held company in NASDAQ. He held various executive positions in the areas of sales, marketing, and business development. Prior to that, he had worked for McKinsey and Co.

Ignacio has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and two undergraduate degrees, both summa cum laude – Business Administration and Public Accounting from PUC-Argentina. He is based in IMS Miami.

Mariano Román

Partner and CCO

Mariano joined IMS in 2011 to manage the Company’s regional expansion and its service offerings to customers. He has twenty years of experience in leading media agencies such as Universal McCann, Agulla & Baccetti (Lowe) and, more recently, MediaCom, where he was the CEO for Latin America. Mariano’s experience in key customer development and growing presence in Latin America includes working with global brands such as Citibank, Danone, MasterCard, Renault, Levi’s, General Motors, and so forth. Mariano obtained his degree in Business Administration from PUC-Argentina, and he has been invited to lecture in various marketing and advertising courses in Latin America, USA and Europe. Mariano carries out his activities from the IMS offices in Miami.

Bruno Libonatti

Partner and VP Offline Media

Bruno is a partner and Offline Media VP at IMS. He was responsible for opening IMS offices in Uruguay in 2007, where most of the IMS Offline team is currently located. In addition to managing this team, Bruno manages IMS publisher contracts and develops new businesses with media agencies throughout Latin America. Previously, Bruno had worked as a Business Development Manager at UOL, where he was in charge of developing online strategies for the Latin American market. He also worked at Oki Latin American Divisions, a global VOIP company, where he was responsible for distribution channels in Mexico and other Latin American markets. Bruno obtained a degree from the University of the Republic in Uruguay and is based in IMS Miami.

Juan Manuel Ruiz

For the last 3 years, Juan Manuel has been in charge of developing and applying IMS financial management strategy, contributing to the achievement of our goals. Juan Manuel came to the Company after a long and remarkable career in prominent companies such as UOL International, Telmex, Claro, Personal and Ernst and Young. He has an MBA from the IAE Business School, the Management and Business School of Austral University in Argentina, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Belgrano in Argentina. He also has taken post-graduate courses at Harvard Business School and Wharton Business School. He works at the IMS offices in Buenos Aires.

Tomás Heguy 

VP Product & Technology

As the Vice-President of the Product and Technology Division, Tomás is in charge of the integration of the ERP-CRM-Campaign Management systems, developing the platform for the management of self-service campaigns, and reporting and end-to-end user tracking in digital and social marketing (LinkedIn, Twitter, Waze, Foursquare, Spotify, Electronic Arts, Vevo, etc.). Graduated from PUC – Argentina, he also has an MBA in Technology and International Business from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Tomás works at the IMS offices in Buenos Aires.

Gisel Saia

VP of Human Resources

With 20 years of experience in multinational companies, Gisel leads the Human Resources Division in IMS, promoting its growth and organization. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and a Post-graduate specialization degree in Labor Psychology and HR Practices from the Psychology Association of Buenos Aires (APBA). She has worked at global hi-tech companies, such as Ernst & Young, Softline International and IBM, where she developed an extensive managerial career going through different roles, both at local and regional levels, participating in several global projects.

Gisel works at the IMS offices in Buenos Aires, where her entire HR team is also based.

Ignacio Sanchez Zinny

Sr. Marketing Director

As the Marketing Director, Ignacio leads the various teams that work to further the different actions carried out by the Company, including Events, Contents, Design, Research, Education and Press. Before that, he directed the Contents department for Wobi, and he was also a member of the Marketing team of the brewery Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes (an AB Inbev subsidiary). In addition to his studies in Communications at Austral University, and a Business degree from Florida International University, Ignacio also has an MBA from the Columbia Business School. Ignacio works at the IMS offices in Miami.

Maria Fernanda Zuloaga 

Product Strategy Director

With over 12 years of experience in communication strategy & marketing, previously to joining IMS, Maria Fernanda was Media & Connections Manager at Coca-Cola Argentina. She was responsible for end to end communication strategy and media buying for the complete local portfolio, that includes more than 16 brands. Previously, she spent 4 years at Coca-Cola Brazil and was part of the first Real-Time Marketing Global Team, leading prominent projects such as FIFA World Cup 2014 and 2016 Olympics. Formerly, she also worked at Clarin (Grupo agea), Wunderman for DIAGEO regional account, NOKIA networks, and UOL Sinectis.

Maria Fernanda holds a university degree in Marketing Studies at UCES. She leads the Product Strategy team from the IMS offices in Buenos Aires.
